If you own or occupy your home as your principal place of residence, you may be eligible for property tax savings called Homeowners exemption or HOX. You may only claim ONLY one HOX for your principal residence. Remember, Supplemental tax bills are in addition to the regular annual tax bills. This bill goes directly to the property owner, and not to an impound account if there is one. Notices of Assessed Value Change are mailed to property owners before supplemental tax bills are issued. Always keep present that Supplemental Assessment Bill is different from the regular annual tax bill and it is mail directly to you (not to your impound account)  Notices of Assessed Value Change are mailed to property owners before supplemental tax bills are issued.  State law requires the Assessor to reappraise property upon changes in ownership or completion of new construction. You will receive a supplemental assessment showing the difference between the new and old value.
